7/17/18

Right-hander pitching prospect in the 2020 class. 6-foot-2, long limbed frame with room to add. Works exclusively from the stretch. Uses an easy waist high leg lift into a drop and drive load. Lands slightly open at foot strike, finishing towards home plate. Arm is long and loose through a near over the top slot. Fastball works downhill with occasional arm side action at 76-77 mph. Breaking ball works on an 11/5 plane with gradual action at 61-62 mph. Strike thrower that locates the fastball well and can get the curveball over for a strike or bury it as a chase pitch. Looks to have more velocity in there as well.

6/26/18

6-foot-2, 180-pound pitching prospect with a room to develop physically. Delivery has rhythmic pace while requiring less than regular effort. High ¾ slot with long arm action that has slight cup behind the body. Fastball was commanded well on this day at 73-75 mph. Dotted on multiple occasions to strike out batters. Breaking ball is 11/5 shaped with gradual break at 61-63 mph. Showed us a changeup for the first time that compliments his arsenal nicely. Maintained near fastball arm speed while ranging from 66-68 mph with downward action. Had hitters off balance for the entirety of the outing.

5/31/18

A right-handed pitching prospect in the 2020 class. Projectable frame with room to add strength. Delivery is lower effort and he can repeat. Drop and drive type guy who gets down the mound well. Arm action is longer with a slight wrist curl in the back. Impressed with pitchability in feel for both offerings. Fastball stays mostly true through the zone sitting 70-74 mph. Complements the fastball with an 11/5 shaped breaking ball at 59-62 mph. Spins the pitch well giving it some late bite.

7/05/17

On the bump the right-hander has a smooth, repeatable delivery. Does a nice job creating energy with his lower half. Finishes on line to home plate with his momentum carrying him towards home plate. Arm moves through a high-¾ slot with developing arm speed. Arm action is long and loose. Fastball works mostly straight through the zone. Did a nice job of pounding the zone with the pitch. Complements his fastball with his 11/5 shaped breaking ball. The pitch showed gradual break, consistently finding the strike zone. A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall setup. Uses a smooth leg lift for timing. Hands move back to launch during his controlled stride forward. A back leg hitter that takes an uphill path to the baseball. Bat speed is developing. Ball came off his bat well when he stayed through contact. A contact guy at this stage. At first base he gets off the bag with confidence. Goes with a backhand on his double play balls. Ball skills are developing. Does a nice job fielding the ball out in front of his body on plays in his funnel.
