7/12/17 A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open setup. Crates barrel momentum through a bat tip load. Lower half looks athletic and efficient. Barrel gets on plane early and is in the zone for a long time. Bat has obvious whip with above average bat speed. A line drive type guy with gap abilities. Much more pop to come with maturity. In the outfield, he approaches the ball downhill. Glove skills are solid, consistently fielding the ball cleanly. Makes contact with the ball on his glove side foot. Throws from a 3/4 slot with average arm speed. Arm action is shorter but still adequate. 60-yard dash: 7.37 Outfield Velocity: 77 Exit Velocity: 79
2/20/16
5-foot-11, 149-pound wiry frame. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced set up and uses minimal load before his aggressive stride forward. Ryan starts with his bat vertical before getting in and out of the zone quickly on a level path. Bat showed some whip to it and he was able to reach a top exit velocity of 74 mph. In the infield he took direct routes to the ball and showed some confidence in his glove. Would like to see him improve his footwork when moving laterally. From a high-3/4 slot he threw across the infield with 64 mph arm strength. Ran a 4.5 from home to first.
