2/17/19 Position
Body Type: 5-foot-11 165-pound prospect with a medium build.
Swing Mechanics: Starts in a wider setup. Uses a toe tap load with a slight armbar and cast of the barrel. Was balanced through his whole swing and showed natural lift to his swing. Hit: Showed good barrel control.
Power: 87 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Shows the potential to be a gap to gap guy. Would benefit from keeping his barrel in the zone long to get more power out of his swing and give himself more margin for error. Run: 4.62 home to 1st.
Throw: 80 mph across the diamond.
Field: In the infield Janka showed some polish. Showed quick footwork and attacked the ball well. He took good angles through the ball and had a quick release and arm.
Defensive Projection: Shows a strong ability to be a 2B at the next level with enough polish and a serviceable arm that could make him a candidate to fill in at SS if needed.
