7/2/18 The 5-foot-10, 195-pound prospect features a shorter, thick build on the mound. Witt throws the ball well with loose arm action and his Fastball shows good life to it at 78-81 mph. He also showed good feel for a curveball that broke on a 2/8 plane and was thrown at 65-66 mph. He also throws a 72-73 mph changeup. Witt showed a good presence on the mound and as he grows he has the potential to be a good arm in his class. Two-way prospect. At the plate he starts in a balanced stance from the left side. Uses a simple, efficient load prior to showing a mostly level path through the zone. Swing will show some loft at times. Impressive feel for the barrel with easy pull side jump. Both speed and strength are respectable with strength playing as the louder tool presently through the zone. Middle of the lineup type bat. At first base he moves off the bag with quick feet. Glove works well. Solid defender with feel for the position. 60-yard dash: 7.9 Infield Velocity: 74 Exit Velocity: 85
6/13/16 5-foot-7, 160-pound, young left-handed pitching prospect. On the mound he shows some rhythm in his delivery with regular effort and good direction to the plate. Throws with a long back arm action into a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 63-67 mph. Curveball sat 58-59 mph with gradual break. At the plate he takes his hands back during his short stride forward. Takes a level bat path to the ball. Average batspeed. Registered an exit velocity of 77 mph and ran a 5.1 from home to first. At first base he has some confidence in his glove with feel for the position. Needs to play lower. Threw across the infield with 60 mph arm strength.
