Scouting Notes: Interesting arm to follow. Everything works well and he has some twitch down the mound. Velo plays up and ball comes out of a 3/4 slot. Also showed above average secondary offerings. Could easily see more out of him as he continues to develop.
Fastball: 79-82mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1833-1893
Breaking Ball: 66-69mph.
Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1463-1754
Changeup: 70-71mph.
2/2/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Starts out with a tall frame and drops down to a sidearm slot with smooth arm action providing a quick whip finishing through his delivery.
Fastball: Fastball presents a straight path with occasional 2-seam action maxing out at 77mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 2034-2187.
Curveball: Shows above average depth coming out of his hand with above average spin to it at 67mph.
Curveball Spin Rate: 2239-2465.
Changeup: Displayed a 72-73 changeup that showed some run/depth
Body Type: 6-foot 1, 150-pound slim, athletic frame
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: The right handed pitching prospect works through a high-tempo delivery, into a near ¾ slot with fluid arm action. Maxes his frame when a strong low drive into a fall off finish to the first base side
Fastball: 75-79 Stays true through the zone with solid command. His go to pitch, located well in all counts and occasional arm side run. Carried the pitch consistently around 77 and topped out at 79.
Curveball: 60-62. 11/5 with big break. Above average depth with late action and solid command. Breaker compliments the fastball well and is worked into all counts.
Changeup:
Pitchability: Projectable pitcher, above average athlete for his age/size. More to come.
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 150 pound tall, thin frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Releases out of a ¾ arm slot with shorter arm action. Showed a quick tempo throughout his delivery while getting extended downhill with nice force.
Fastball: 72-75 mph. Has late arm side run that tails into right handed batters late as it approaches hitting zone. Locates it well too.
Curveball: 60-62 mph. Has nice spin to it starting out at hitters hip then cuts in and finishes low. Command will increase the more he develops.
Changeup: 65-69 mph. Downhill run with light arm side run. Kept in strike zone often.
Pitchability: Projectable athlete that displays a deceptive motion. Can expect progressing results in the future as he puts on more size.
