Tony Spangler: LHP/1B, (2022) Springboro, OH. 6-foot-6, 204-pound. One of the top pitching performances we saw on the day. On the mound, threw his fastball 82-85 mph and topped out at 86 mph. Fastball was his best offering, consistently challenging hitters with the ability to move the ball around the zone well. Curveball (63-65 mph), developing offering with big, early action. Obvious upside here.
6-foot-5, 190-pound projectable body frame with long limbs. On the mound he throws with regular effort to his delivery landing slightly more closed at foot strike. Has quickness to his arm speed through a ¾ slot. Fastball was mostly true through the zone sitting at 76-79 mph and topping at 80 mph. Curveball has good depth on a 2/8 plane with mostly gradual break at 63-64 mph. Slider has sharpness to it and a tighter break than the curveball at 64-66 mph. Changeup has sinking action thrown near fastball arm speed between 66-67 mph.
