1/21/19

Body Type: 6-foot-1 165- pound prospect with an athletic, projectable frame. Plenty of room to add strength and size to his frame.
Swing Mechanics:
Balanced stance. Shows a back load to hands during knee pinch for timing.
Hit:
Easy stroke with slight downhill tendencies. All fields approach in BP with ball flight typically resulting in low line drives to hard ground balls. Natural tools are developing with swing presently offering a bit more strength than speed.

72 mph exit velocity. Line drive guy who should grow into gap abilities.
Offensive Projection:
TBD.
Run:
8.83 60-yard dash.
Field:
Ideal frame for the first base position. Plays under control off the bag with adequate ball skills. Looks comfortable over there.

1B.

1/21/19 Pitching

Body Type: 6-foot-1 165- pound prospect with an athletic, projectable frame. Plenty of room to add strength and size to his frame.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Delivery shows above average athleticism and fluidity. Throws from a low ¾ arm slot.

Fastball: 68-70 mph fastball with some natural sink that is accentuated by his low ¾ arm slot.

Breaking Ball: 55-57 breaking ball with slurvey type shape, average spin, and decent depth.

Changeup: 63-66 mph changeup with natural fade to the arm side.

Pitchability: Both the fastball and changeup showed better to command to the arm side than the glove side. Breaking ball was equally effective to both sides of the plate.

Role: Fastball and changeup command to both sides of the plate will be key in whether or not he is a starter type as opposed to being a more breaking ball dominant type guy out of the bullpen.
