Redshirt-sophomore. 6-foot-1, 200-pounds, athletic build. The left-handed hitter works with a simple operation at the plate; shooting the gaps and the opposite field while remaining short to the ball with barrel control and bat-speed. He averaged just over 90 mph for his exit velocity throughout his round, maxing out at 101.1 mph with a max distance of 383’. His actions are steady on the infield, reaching up to 82 mph from across the diamond.

Hit: Baseball runs in his family’s blood with an older brother playing at Ohio State. Physical presence in the box with a balanced setup. Above average bat speed level path through the zone. Very natural and efficient swing mechanics. Gets into his lower half very well.
Power: Pull side power with the ability to hit to all fields. Strength at the plate shows more pop to come at the next level.
Offensive Projection: Run producer with the potential to be a middle of the lineup guy.

Field: Very smooth and apparent glove skills. Athleticism truly shows up the middle. Glove skills keep him in the six hole at the next level.
Throw: Above average arm strength. Shows the ability to throw from multiple arm slots with accuracy.
Defensive Projection: Shortstop
A Penn State commit. Swings it from the left side using a leg kick for timing and energy. Barrel triggers from a vertical setup giving him early bat speed through the zone on a slightly downhill path. Swing is compact and he produced line drives in BP. Flashed the ability to turn on the ball with authority. A middle infielder type that showed enough arm for the left side. Reacts well off the bat and does a nice job of varying tempo to create the hop he wants. Ball skills are above average and he plays with obvious confidence in glove. How lateral mobility develops will likely determine future destination.

A talented two-way prospect in the 2020 class. On the bump he has fluidity to a delivery that has some effort to it. Arm action is long with looseness to it, working through an over the top slot. Works off his 78-80 mph fastball. Has confidence in the pitch and has no problem challenging hitters with it. His put away pitch is his 73-74 mph slider. The pitch has good depth to it as it darts across the plate. A left-handed bat that starts in an athletic setup. Barrel maintains momentum throughout loading sequence and has excellent whip through the zone. Showed above average natural tools in batting practice. Ball gets off his bat well, showing the ability to create back spin to his pull side. Moves well in the infield and showed athleticism to his actions. Hands work in and out of his funnel. Arm action is clean and ball gets out of his hand well.
