(21.3 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide active stance with a controlled compact load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was flashed present, and displayed a simple uphill swing plane. Solid when throwing from the outfield, he showed off his strong arm with throws at velocities of 89 mph;had consistent hands, smooth rhythmic footwork, and a quick exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.73.

Solid on the mound, showed some arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a quick arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Showed athletic balance point and downhill shoulders. Lands soft with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 83-85 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2248; Avg 2133). Shows gradual sweeping action on his 11/5 curveball (74-76).
