Wyatt Kleinmann: OF/2B, (2023) Lakota east, OH. 5-foot-7, 135-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Kleinmann's 87 mph exit velocity ranks him 3rd at the event. Started in an athletic closed stance with a quick controlled load, then used a leg kick. Bat speed was average, and showed a short flat swing plane. Above average in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 82 mph; showed a clean exchange, quick athletic feet, and soft hands. Athletic from the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 83 mph; has a clean exchange, athletic feet, and soft hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball one hand. Arm action was quick. On the mound, showing good arm speed he had a ¾ arm angle and a quick arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Has an athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 73-77 mph; showed running action and arm side control. Shows gradual action on his 11/5 curveball (64-65). Had fading action and arm side control on his changeup (70-71).
2/16/20
2/16/20 Position Player Hit: Kleinmann starts in a balanced setup from the right side. Goes with a back load to hands during knee pinch for timing. Path is downhill and natural tools are developing. Showed low line drive to ground ball flight in BP. Power: Top batting practice exit velocity was 73.8 and he reached a top batting practice distance of 174 feet. Offensive Projection: Table setter. Field: Versatile defender with a comparable grade as an outfielder and infielder. Moves well laterally in the infield and attacks the baseball in the outfield. Ball skills are serviceable at both spots. Maybe an outfield lean but like I said grade is similar. Throw: Tossed it across the infield and to home plate with 72 mph arm strength. Defensive Projection: UTL.
