2/16/20 Position Player Hit: Swings it from the right side, slightly open setup that squared back up through a toe turn timing trigger, back load to hands prior to accelerating the barrel through the zone on a slightly downhill path, quicker than he is strong but tools should even out as he adds strength to very projectable frame. Line drive ball flight. Power: 75 mph tee exit velocity, much more to come, projects for at least gap abilities down the road. Offensive Projection: TBD, much more physical maturation to come. Field: Worked out at third base, cuts down distance off the bat, plays with consistent rhythm, ball skills are on par for class. Throw: 71 mph arm strength across the infield, ¾ release with intent. Defensive Projection: Corner guy.
2/16/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Uses an easy tempo on the mound to a delivery that requires some effort, arm has some looseness through a ¾ slot, upright leg lift into drop and drive load down the mound, lands mostly online. Fastball: 67-70 mph, regular life to both sides of the plate, more velo in the tank. Breaking Ball: 57-61 mph, spins it well, good sell/arm speed, 10/4 shape. Changeup: 60-61 mph, regular fading action through the zone.
