Jones is a two-way prospect that hits and throws from the left side. Smaller frame at 5-foot-9, 160-pounds, Jones is an athletic player with tools and skill set to continue to be a two-way player at the next level. On the mound, Jones works with easy, loose arm action from ¾ arm slot, repeatable delivery with minimal effort involved. Shows quickness in the arm as his fastball works in the mid 80’s and has a knack for pounding the zone and attacking hitters with his fastball. Jones’ also has real good feel for his curveball that has 1/7 shape, tight rotation with late, downward action at 70 mph. His curveball is one of the better ones in his age class, and he has shown the ability to use it here in game action to put hitters away. At the plate, Jones is typically a tough at-bat in the lineup, more of a contact guy who looks to hit line drives all over the field. Uses speed to his advantage as he will bunt for a hit and then take off with aggressiveness once he is on base. He plays a solid outfield from a defensive side of things, good routes and reads, above average arm that had a velocity of 89 mph while the athleticism allows him to get to balls and make plays.
