7/11/18
The 5-foot-11, 160-pound prospect shows a strong build. He starts from a very slow windup with above average arm-speed to throw an explosive fastball at 81-84 mph. Curveball is hard and sharp with 11/5 break at 68-69 mph. Drouillard shows all the signs of having more in the tank as he develops his lower half. In the outfield showed one of the bigger arms on the day reaching a top velocity of 83 mph. Arm strength is present with some straight line carry through a near over the top slot. Ball skills are on par while movements stay fluid throughout.

Young 2019 grad listed at 5-foot-10, 145-pounds and room to add strength gains. Moved well down the line from home to first. Defensively, approached ball and fielded cleanly in the outfield, room to involve lower half and gain more intent on throws which should lead to more carry on ball, velocity was 82 mph from the outfield with more there. At the plate, hits from the right side, knees bent and feet spread in the box, small load with hands, doesn't generate much to contact and can get off his backside and through the ball with more power involvement, exit velocity was 75 mph. On the mound, slow tempo to balance point then tries to rush to generate at finish. Arm has some quickness to it from short 3/4 slot, fastball worked in 76-78 mph range. Both curveball and changeup worked between 66-69 mph, would tend to slow actions down on change, curveball would get backed up at times, need to maintain extension out front to create proper plane. Overall young athletic 2019, arm works, with some minor tweaks could see a spike in numbers.
