Dyck, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound 2017 Niagara commit worked out as a position player, although he will be attending Niagara primarily as a pitcher. Dyck hits from the left-side with rhythm and balance, incorporates a leg kick to load with ability to elevate the ball and work the gaps. Shows bat speed in the box and more power to the pull side with an exit velocity of 87 mph. Dyck's athleticism allows him to play both the infield and outfield, along with his arm strength where he was 81 from the outfield and 83 from the infield. The arm is clean and works with carry, proper rotation on the ball with strong baseball IQ. The 2017 grad will be the leader for Etobicoke this coming summer and will play a pivotal role in any accomplishments they have.

6-foot, 175-pound two-way guy with a future at two positions. On the mound he impressed big time. Loose action, quick arm, high ¾ arm slot, repeatable delivery, sat 83 mph with his fastball, dropped a 70-72 changeup with command. Curveball has sharp bite when he keeps it down. In the field has clean, easy actions, picks up the ball well, good routes, has knowledge of how to field his position, throwing 81 mph across the diamond. At the plate has a lot of moving parts, starts the elbows and hands tight, deep bend in his knees, wide stance, gets even wider with his load, good separation, good lower half, finishes high with 80 exit velocity. Dyck has a future as a corner infielder, but also has a high ceiling on the mound with a chance to increase velocity by the time he’s a senior.

6-foot, 172-pound prospect with average frame and room to add strength. Dyck ran a 7.22 int he 60-yard dash with regular effort. Offensively, a lot of rhythm at the plate, hands flashed quickness and bat speed, slight uphill bat path, aggressive hacks during batting practice, line drive type hitter who will find the gaps. Defensively, showed some athleticism in lower half, moved through the ball well and was accurate with throws, was 81 mph across the diamond. On the mound, Dyck flashed a quick arm that was able to get on top and out front with his 81 mph fastball. Changeup was 69-71 mph with some deceptiveness and run when down, tends to slow arm at times. Curveball was best pitch at 66-67 mph with good downward bite and rotation, should feel for pitch, kept around zone and threw for strikes. 2017 grad with tools to work with and athletic actions. Interesting to see him come fall 2016.
