1/23/16 2017 grad that has improved game and physicality over the winter. Now listed at 6-foot-1, 170-pounds with athletic build and room to add more strength. Offensively, loose hands at the plate, starts hands back with small hitch to trigger. Is on time and swings it with bat speed, exit velocity was 85 mph. Hard contact with chance of power, barrel found multiple balls and made loud contact during his batting practice round. Should be an offensive player this summer. Behind the plate, hands and arm both worked. Moved well and sowed sound blocking abilities. Best pop time was 2.04 while velocity was 74 mph down to second. More in the arm and should be a follow for schools right now
8/27/15 Mendham keeps the Ontario left-handed hitting catcher strength alive as the 6-foot-1, 156-pound frame of his fits the ball with a smooth looking swing and abilities behind the plate. Good rhythm in the box, loads up well on back side and has loose hands that work well to contact with a flat bat path and some quickness through the zone. Exit velocity was 78 mph while he has room to add strength to his projectable frame. Behind the dish, Mendham sets up with a wide base, transfers well with a short arm as his best pop time was 2.03. Arm strength is there, feet work, can work on lower half quickness to improve throws and pop time. Velocity behind the plate was 72 mph. Good looking 2017 with left-handed bat that plays with size and strong baseball I.Q.
