Position: 3B/RHP

Body: 6-foot-2, 200-pound ['athletic', 'mature'].

Hit: (RHH) Started in a tall crouched stance with a wrapping load, then used a leg kick. Above average bat speed. Level finish, level swing. Gap to gap approach.

Power: 101 mph exit velocity, average 89.53 mph. 78.41 mph bat speed average. 23.78 mph hand speed average. Best ev of the day.

Defense:  (IF) Soft hands, athletic rhythmic footwork, fluid clean exchange. Athletic.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic.

Arm: 89 mph infield velocity. Short arm action, ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.

Speed: 7.30 (60-yard).

Pitching: Capable. Tall-and-fall delivery, some effort. High ¾ arm angle, quick arm speed, long arm action. Athletic balance point, even shoulders, lands square, an athletic finish.

FB: T90. 85-89 mph. (Max spin 2412;  Avg 2314). In the zone accuracy, running action, hard movement.

CH: 76-77 mph. Arm side control, running action.

SL: 76-78 mph. Around the zone command, tight action, 10/4 movement. (Max spin 2314; Avg 2158).

A physical, 6-foot-1, 175-pound 2021 first-baseman, Oborne is a member of the Great Lake Canadians. Oborne’s size and strength plays at first, where he’s a large target and displayed decent glove actions as well. His arm worked up to 85 mph, showing the ability not only to catch the ball but get off throws across the diamond in a hurry. At the plate, Oborne made some of the loudest contact of the day as the ball jumped off of his bat up to 87 mph. He uses a linear style of hitting, pushing off his back leg and looking to generate power through his strength. At times, Oborne got locked up on inside pitches, but when he gets his bat out front early, he is able to do damage. Oborne will be an interesting follow in the 2021 class.
