Ogston jumped out to our staff at PBR Spring Training with his hit tool and the ONC product was doing it again this weekend. It’s rare you see the 6-foot-2, 180-pound right-handed hitter take a good pitch and he works gap-to-gap. He makes all the plays on the left side of the diamond, currently manning shortstop for ONC although it profiles at third base as well. Ogston continues to show well with the bat everytime we see him and no doubt one of the better players we’ve seen right now in the Ottawa region.

Thursday was a coming out party for uncommitted 2023 shortstop Evan Ogston. The right-handed hitter from the Ottawa Nepean Canadians was picking up hits all day long. It’s a line drive approach and he was consistently finding the barrel, hitting balls hard to all fields. Ogston ran a 7.11 on Scout Day and we’ve seen him run a sub-7.00 before. A good looking uncommitted prospect from the Ottawa area who should definitely have interest from college coaches after his performance this week.
