Game Performance

Notes

Comments

2/23/20

Lupton put together another strong performance on Sunday. It’s a 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame. He was 75-77, T79 mph, works downhill with extension out front. The makings are in place on the mound. Showed well positionally as well, but the upside is as a pitcher.

2/09/20

Lupton, a tall, lanky RHP/IF from the Tri City Giants impressed today. He has noticeably grown and gotten stronger inside the frame. His body moves with more control and the low effort actions show more in the tank. He showed arm strength in defensive drills and more pop in the bat. The swing is tall and aggressive, with some pull side pop. On the mound, he mixes 3 pitches well, the fastball has some jump to it and will certainly rise in velo as the frame adds strength. The curveball was a bit inconsistent but the changeup was spot on, well located, good depth, fade and a deceptive velo drop.

3.31.18
A tall and long-limbed pitcher with a projectable frame, the young 2022 prospect will continue to get stronger as he matures. On the mound, has a long stride length and slow arm action, fastball sits at 66-67 mph. Gradual breaking curveball has 11/5 shape and sits between 51-54 mph. Changeup sits 60-61 mph. Tall righty who will get stronger and more athletic as he continues to develop, will be and interesting follow in the coming years.
