2024 Jagan Chanderdat found the zone comfortably with his FB, topping out at 75 mph. Jagan has to ability to work the count in his favour to utilize his CB with lots of top-to-bottom movement late. Good vision at the plate, generating a lot of contact all around the park. Stay alert as more improvement is on the way.
Physical: 5-9, 155 pounds; Slender, lean build. 7.53 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; upright bat position. Loads straight back with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a a high finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 82 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while covering ground laterally. Hands are underneath the body with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high 3/4 arm slot. INF - 73 MPH.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly open. Moderate arm swing while stabbing downward; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 77 MPH, while sitting 74-77 MPH; arm side run. CB: 63-67 MPH; early action.
