5-foot-8, 145-pounds, Whent is a member of the Toronto Mets, and was an attendee of the New Year Open. At the plate, it's a controlled swing with a simplified load, and he works direct to the ball. There's some bat speed and a clean path with extension through the hitting zone. In the outfield, he displayed body control and worked up to 78 on throws. On the mound, it's a quick-paced delivery, where he has a short, repeatable arm swing, and a little leg load. He sat 70-72 with some natural run, mixed in a curveball and a changeup, and showed the ability to throw strikes—2022 grad to follow.
