Big projectable right-hander listed at 6-foot-6, 190-pounds. Shows solid body control for size, young features with long limbs and levers and remaining strength gains. Works quickly into leg kick from full windup. Smyth creates downhill angle with his fastball from 3/4 arm slot with some arm speed, was consitently 83-84 mph, two-seam had late action that would ride in on righties, more to come from fastball velocity. Curveball worked between 70-73 mph, snapped off a few tight breaking balls with 11/5 shape and downward biting action. Feel for changeup, at times would slow arm down, did have some run at 76 mph. High ceiling, uncommitted right-hander with clean actions and body control for size, throws three pitches and is something to dream on with his frame and mechanics.
