Left-handed hitter at 5-foot-8, 150-pounds with room to add strength. Ran  7.14 with regular effort in the 60-yard dash. At the plate, starts balanced and evenly separated with legs, small rock to load with small leg kick, gets foot down and backside gets through the ball. Shows good feel for hitting, finds the barrel and makes good contact, line drive guy who can use the whole field. Defensively, Maves approached balls well in the middle, hands have feel and made the plays. Good transfers, footwork was clean, arm showed carry and accuracy at 76 mph across the diamond. Behind the plate, like the way his hands worked, transfer was quick and showed ability to work. Relatively knew but with reps could be a spot for him. Interesting player who gets after it with good actions.

Currently undersized at 5-foot-7, 145-pounds, Maves plays like he is 6-foot-3, 220-pounds. Aggressive player on both sides of the ball, made highlight reel play at second and turned the double play well. At the plate, Maves had an easy stroke with good bat path to contact. Worked with a medium leg kick to load, hands load up but get to ball nicely. Exit velocity was 76 mph while he showed line drive swing in game action with a short swing. Defensively, good actions in the infield. Worked ball in middle of body and arm action was short and from a 3/4 arm slot. Velocity across the infield was 71 mph as Maves showed to be under control and confident with his reps. Gamer type player who gets after it, like the way he plays the game and will add strength and maturity over time.
