2024 LHP Luca Alagheband (Harvard) was one of the top arms from the HPP Tigers to take the mound on the weekend and was dominant in his appearance out of the bullpen. Big, proportionate frame at 6-foot-3, 200-pounds and was attacking hitters with a two-pitch mix. The fastball sat 83-86mph and worked up in the zone with it, generating swings/misses. Paired it with a curveball 74-75mph with a sweepy look to it. A good showing from the Harvard commit to start the fall season.
Although Alagheband's fastball velocity not have been as loud as these other names but his TrackMan data graded him out with some of the best stuff at the event. The Terriers left-hander sat 82-83 mph (T83.7) with the fastball, along with an average spin rate of 2549rpm which would grade out well above average in the major leagues. 6-foot-3, 195-pound left-hander with an impressive arsenal, also flashing a high spin, high HM slider and a high HM changeup.
