6.20.18 Barry has continued to trend upwards, and the velocity has ticked up to 88 mph and the stuff continues to become more polished and sharper. He has been dominant in league action, going deep into games, speaking to his ability to fill up the zone with 3 pitches. This arm has every indication to be an early commit as we get ready to dive into the summer. One of the top arms in the 2019 class.
8.15.17 Barry has turned himself into a prospect and one of the most reliable arms in his age class. The 6-foot, 170-pound righty fills the zone from 3/4 slot with natural run on his fastball that sits 83-85 while implementing both his breaking ball and changeup for strikes. Great feel and ability to locate, it's loose and repeatable off the mound with quality actions and athleticism to his delivery.
8.27.15 Lukas is a 2018 grad listed at 5-foot-10, 145-pounds with strength and maturity gains to come. The righty worked from a ¾ arm slot, producing a 78 mph fastball with some late run, while his 11/5 shaped 61-63 mph curveball had some bite late. Maintaining arm speed on his 69-70 mph changeup will be key for Barry, creating more natural movement and deception. Showing some fairly clean mechanics for his age, Barry will be an interesting follow in his next three years before college. Strength gains will be key, but he has a good foundation and some arm speed to work with.
