5-foot-6, 140-pounds, Shirley showed he was someone to watch right away. He showed well in the outfield, displaying some quickness and explosiveness that allowed for strong throws up to 86 mph. At the plate, it's a short, bat-to-ball oriented left-handed swing with bat speed and line-drive outputs. He moves well and has shown an ability to get down the line in a hurry in the past. He's an exciting player with the ability to be impactful for the right school at the next level.
