A tall and strong 6-foot-5, 200-pound right-hander, Manning is an intriguing 2019 arm. Manning gets on top and creates leverage, making good use out of his size. He lands in-line, and releases from a high ¾ arm slot without restriction while maintaining control and posture. Manning sat 81-83 mph with his fastball; it appeared quicker with the extension and angle the pitch arrived from. He also threw in a 66-68 mph curveball with gradual 11/5 shape and the ability to locate. He will be able to use both his curveball and change-up, but they both lack the finish needed in order to be strikeout pitches. There is a lot to like about Manning, and he could be a good get for a school at the next level.
