Alvarez is now 6-foot, 175-pounds with athletic actions and easy movements during his workout. From the outfield, his approach was under control, showed good body awareness and showed off and easy arm with loose actions and carry on the ball out front at 83 mph. Offensively, quiet approach at the plate, small load with minimal arm bar, still able to get barrel through the zone, made lots of hard contact and project as a line drive hitter with gap power.

5-foot-11, 170-pound projectable frame. From the outfield, shows a short, quick arm from a ¾ slot. Top outfield velocity was 81 mph, with good extension and proper rotation out front. Offensively, balanced approach at plate wit even stance and hands up. Small rock to load with short stride. Hands can get underneath ball creating some lift action. Better when on top and level. Some strength for the young prospect, exit velocity was 76 mph while the 40 time 5.09. On the mound, Alvarez works from a high-¾ arm slot with a loose, short action. Down and out leg drive, fastball was 76-78 mph regular effort. Curveball had 10/4 shape, better when direction stayed on-line, 62-67 mph. Changeup was 66-69 mph, slowed arm and left up.
