A baby-faced first basement with great size and a solid frame for the position. Shows some power from the left side and should continue to get stronger as he grows into his frame and matures. Despite his size, he shows good footwork and athleticism at first base, with smooth actions, soft hands, and quick and clean transfers. At the plate, Magic has a short and sweet stroke, with not a lot of moving parts in his swing. Brings back hands into good launch position, hits off a straight front foot, with a bit of an uppercut in his swing. The power is there, was able to barrel a couple of balls over the right field wall. Hands work, able to sit back and use the opposite field, also runs well for a first baseman. Overall, the 2018 classman looks like a guy to look out for, Magdic shows promise with the bat and at first base, and looks to have the makeup to become a solid player on the next level.
