Young 2023 outfielder who has present strength but ability to add a lot more to his 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame. Caught our attention at Tigers Scout Day, there is chance for him to tap into some real power and showed flashes in his BP rounds, the swing and setup lacks consistency right now, but when he was on time balls jumped off the barrel and you could see what it may be. He hits from a crouched setup, hands are back and small load to trigger, uses a small leg kick and has a lot more power to tap into. Ran a 7.09 sixty, defensively was fine, arm lacked life but can work on cleaning up front side, the actions were clean, he just needs to get stronger and make some small mechanical adjustments. Really like the upside here with the bat and the athlete, can see Amankrah having a big winter adding strength and reps will be a key factor for his development.
