6-29-2018: Athletic righty with a strong, mature build and a four pitch arsenal. Showed good direction in his delivery, landing on-line and working down the hill with a heel spin to the first base side after ball release. More pronounced when he reached back with two strikes for some extra velo to put away hitters with his heater. Fastball ranged from 91-94 mph, mostly 92. Changed shapes and speeds on his breaking pitches. His plus 83-84 mph slider showed very good tilt with late action and had the same tunnel to the plate as his fastball. Curveball had good shape, depth and velocity at 77-79 mph with 11/5 rotation. Fourth pitch was an average to above changeup. He left the first change he threw on the evening out and over the plate, resulting in a long fly out. But, all others were thrown with good arm speed at 83-84 mph and in better locations. Faced the minimum of six hitters in his two inning appearance while striking out two. Yovan displayed a strong mound presence and has the body type, delivery, arm action. athleticism, stuff and command to be a potential Day One selection in 2019. (Seifert)
