5/24/14 Continues to show tools that could make him one of the top defensive catchers in his class. No in-game pop times, but was 1.81-1.96 in between innings. A couple more productive ABs than last time seen, including staying through a two-strike change-up for a single up the middle and driving a double over the centerfielder's head on an elevated fastball. Solid runner for a catcher (4.47 & 4.50 home-to-1B, 4.56 on a turn).

4/26/14 Plus defensive catcher. Receives well with thumb underneath. Posted a 2.06 in-game pop time. Has arm strength with carry. Only one ball got to the backstop in 13 innings (and that was on a tailing fastball from a LHP that was in the left-handed batter's box). Deadened offspeed stuff in the dirt and picked spiked fastballs with ease. Didn't have much in the way of positive offensive results, but flashed some bat speed and took good, balanced swings throughout, while showing some plate discipline.
