Physical: Athletic, strong 6-foot-2, 225lb frame showing good proportions. 7.35 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Taller, loose stance with the hands in rhythm by the head. Utilized a leg-hang stride, landing narrow with an upper-half dominant approach on a flat path into the hitting zone. Showed advanced feel for the barrel, using the top-hand to turn over the rear hip and posted a clean 40% line drive rate (via Trackman). Kept the ball off the ground with success to all quadrants of the plate, hitting the ball flush where it was pitched. Worked into a stiff, adjustable front-side producing a T89 mph bat-exit velocity with more in the tank (307 foot batted ball distance, doubles power).
Defensively: The first baseman flashed some feel around the bag with medium posture, and ability to create range laterally. Fielded with a soft glove hand off the middle of his body showing adequate pace on the release from a H ¾ slot (76 mph arm, accurate).
Physical: XL/projectable 6-foot-2, 225lb frame with natural strength in the movements. 7.54 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Upright, narrow stance with rhythm in the hands above the shoulder. Utilized a controlled, early leg hang that uses weight shift into the front side appearing on-time with consistency. The barrel entered through an extended, whippy path with slight lift creating good contact to pull (318 foot batted ball distance per Trackman Baseball). Peppered the RCF for some of his best swings of the round, generating a peak of 89 mph bat-exit velocity. A mix of 40% line drive rate and 40% fly ball rate kept the ball off the ground, leading to a loud batting practice from the left side. Showcased an impressive feel for the barrel while flashing sneaky bat to ball skills.
Defensively: The primary first baseman operated with a medium-high posture, arriving on time to the baseball with the glove presented out in front. Average pace and delivered accurate throws from a ¾ slot (moderate takeaway, 74 mph arm). Displayed some feel around the bag with a trusted glove hand on throws in the dirt.
