2/15/15 Braendel is a right-handed hitter with a strong 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame. He starts slightly open and strides to square, employing a short load and getting his hands to a good launch position with an upright barrel. His hands work, he gets good extension through contact, and he shows power potential (90-mph exit velo). Defensively, he produced pop times in the 2.15-2.22 range with a strong (77-mph from the crouch), accurate arm. He exhibits quick feet, although was late getting them started, so syncing them up with his exchange should allow him to improve his pop times in short order. Braendel is also a good runner (7.12 60-yard dash) for his position.
