Physical: 6-foot-2, 195 pounds; Lean, wiry build. 7.42 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with a moderate leg kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing a strong lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 95 MPH via Trackman. Mechanical approach, swing metrics and results are there.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while utilizing a quick first step. Hands work through the ball while funneling to the hip before transfer. Long arm swing from a low 3/4 arm slot. OF - 82 MPH. Athleticism showed itself during defensive work, effortless arm action produced strong and accurate throws.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup working primarily from the stretch. Mid chest leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while showing some scap load; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 83 MPH, while sitting 81-83 MPH; arm side run. CB: 74-76 MPH; spots and expands. High spin fastball showed life and run. Displayed command of the curveball.
