4/16/15 Ishler touched 90 twice in his first two innings of work sitting 86-88 from a high 3/4 arm slot. Curveball was tight early at 74 mph. Ishler is a max effort righty that is likely to be a back end bullpen guy at next level. Settled into an 84-86 range with fastball as game progressed while also relying heavily on a 78-79 mph changup. Touched 87 into 7th inning of complete game.

2/16/14 Ishler got everyone in attendance to sit up and take notice when he moved to the mound for his bullpen session. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound sophomore has a closer's mentality and a unique delivery that sets him apart. Ishler sat 84-85 out of a high 3/4 arm slot with a jerking action with his hands prior to reaching his balance point and a stiff lead leg that distracts the hitter. The ball jumps out of his hand and has late life at the plate. Ishler also commanded an 11/5 breaking curveball at 74 mph. His changeup sat 80-82 and needs work to become more effective although he throws it with the same arm speed and out of the same slot as his fastball.
