6/19/13 Carter turned in a 7.29 60-yard dash time and demonstrated the ability to play through the baseball with throws of 73 mph from 3B. Carter hits from a square stance and utilized a flat bat path through the hitting zone to consistently barrel the baseball during his round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 80 mph. Carter sat 76-78 out of a high 3/4 arm slot during his bullpen session. He also showcased a 65 mph knuckle ball that he commanded for strikes and a 65 mph changeup that lacked any real movement.
6/12/13 Carter showcased his versatility as a two-way player over the course of the event. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect used a square stance and a flat bat path during his round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 75 mph. Carter showcased accurate throws with good carry at 76 mph across the diamond from 3B. He utilized a high 3/4 arm slot from the mound sitting 74-76 during his time on the mound.
2/23/13 Carter is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect who ran a solid 4.15 home-to-first time. Unfortunately he stumbled in the process which cut his day short. Carter went on to showcase a 77 mph bat exit velocity during his round of batting practice before passing on the defensive workout due to the earlier stumble. He has the athleticism and the frame to be a highly recruited catching prospect in this class.
1/13/13 Carter showed well in all facets of the game. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect ran one of the top 60-yard dash times of the day at 7.17 on a slow track. Defensively he showed a good deal of promise with 2.17-2.25 pop times on throws of 71 mph out of the crouch. He received the ball well and demonstrated solid blocking techniques. Offensively Carter squared the baseball consistently and showed some power potential. He used a 78 mph bat exit velocity to create barrel whip and showed a fluid rhythm throughout his swing.
