Physical: 5-10, 165 pounds; Proportional, Muscular build. 7.45 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Lifts hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a short swing path with a finish around the back. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 87 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are underneath the body with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 77 MPH.
Physical: 5-foot-10, 150 pounds; Slight, wiry build. 8.04 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Extended take back of the hands with a moderate leg kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a moderate swing path with a high finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 86 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while covering ground laterally. Hands are soft with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 75 MPH.
Pitching: Smith uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders outside the hips. Has a moderate stride length landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while demonstrating segmented stop and go action, while working through a high/over the top slot. Upright with finish. FB: Peak velo of 78 MPH, while sitting 75-77 MPH; straight action. CB: 64-66 MPH; lands for strikes. CH: 70-72 MPH; maintains same plain.
