Physical: Power 6-foot-5, 243lb frame with a professional body.
Pitching: RHP - Started tall off the left corner of the rubber utilizing fast pace and good separation in the delivery. Really holds the line when rotating into footstrike, releasing with great extension from a H ¾ slot (6.8 feet AVG). The FB worked downhill at times and showed heavy action into the zone at 85-87 mph. The 2021 Future Games alum for Team PA mixed a commanded 74-76 mph CB with short 11/5 shape and landed a heavy-fading 81-83 mph CH for strikes. FB/CH run out of the same tunnel and create deception in-game.
7/28/21
Physical: XL, powerful 6-foot-5, 230lb frame with thick proportions. 7.78 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Open, narrow stance as the hands start higher at the shoulder. Utilized a quick toe tap stride to launch through a high-intent, slightly uphill path with barrel-lag available. Drove the ball repeatedly to the LCF part of the field, holding lower posture in the swing and produced a T93 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak. Controlled the bottom of the zone with an adjustable barrel that could lift consistently towards a high finish. Natural bat speed and sneaky good bat to ball skills.
Defensively: The first baseman operated comfortably around the bag with a soft glove hand at a moderate posture; kept the feet moving and got the hips/shoulders in line before releasing (H ¾ slot, 79 mph arm).
Pitching: RHP - The righty started off the left side of the rubber from the stretch only. Was highly impressive, separating well at the top of the stack, commanding strikes with athleticism down the slope and a power H ¾ slot at release. The FB ranged from 86-89 mph, creating heavy action into the zone for weak contact to both sides, mixing a sharp, two-plane 78-82 mph CB with leverage.
6/15/21
Physical: Strong, uber-projectable, XL 6-foot-5, 230lb frame with obvious two-way abilities, though the pitching leads the way. 7.71 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Even, balanced stance with a slight bend in the knees; used a controlled toe tap stride with good hip shoulder separation while unleashing through a slightly uphill, loud path into the hitting zone. Minimal extra-movements and held posture over the backside well throughout the swing creating a lofty approach through the left side of the field during batting practice. Posted a T88 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman while notching a 60% fly ball rate/318 foot batted ball distance on his best swing, connecting at the front of the plate. Middle of the order presence with some more juice available yet.
Defensively: The first baseman showed lengthy, moderate posture with feel on reps in either direction, approached on time at a wide position at the fielding window using a soft glove hand slightly out in front of the body. Accurate, whippy 86 mph arm across the diamond that carries to the mound.
Pitching: RHP - Started from the stretch-only off the far left side of the rubber; medium leg lift with pace down the mound as the upper half drives with authority down over the front side after footstrike (H ¾ release, fluid). The FB entered the zone at 83-86, T87 mph with heaviness into the bottom of the strike zone (2086 average rpms). Mixed a hard 80-82 mph SL for swing/miss as the strikeout pitch, getting up to 8 inches of HM when he gets on top.
2/14/21
Physical: 6-foot-5, 230LBS. 7.81SEC 60-Yard Dash.
Offensively: RHH. Sets up with feet slightly wider than shoulder width and an open stance. The left heel is off the ground. Has some barrel wiggle as is goes into the load. Hands go straight back as he prepares for the attack on the baseball. Uses a toe tap stride that works back towards the pitcher.
Defensively: At 1B starts with a wide base and works low to the ground. Fields ball out in front and funnels to belt line. Big, strong build and is a good target to throw to.
Pitching: RHP. Sets up on the 1B side of the rubber. Hands start at the belt line and stay there until the leg lift. The rocker step works into a leg lift to slightly below chest. Generates some torque between the lower and upper body. As he works down the mound the lead leg goes down and out as the plant foot lands slightly on the 3B side.
3/10/19
6-foot-3, 205-pound primary right-handed pitcher impressed with his advanced frame as he sat 76-78 mph with small arm-side run from a high 3/4 arm-slot. Featured a a tight 67-70 mph curveball that displayed 11/5 rotation. His 71-72 mph slider showed shorter, later break than his curveball. The right-handed hitter starts with an open stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Showed balance and athleticism in the box helping him use his large frame to produce 78 mph bat-exit velocities. Demonstrated feel around the bag with solid footwork as he registered accurate throws of 81 mph across the infield. Ran an 8.14 60-yard dash.
