A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.

Physical: Large, muscular 6-foot-2, 213lb frame with an imposing presence on the bump.
Pitching: RHP - Started slightly offset from the left corner of the rubber, operating with a faster-paced delivery. Utilized a drop/drive down the slope with clean, efficient movements creating a heavy ball from H ¾ slot. Missed barrels for groundballs from 83-85 mph (1652rpms, 13 inches IVB average via Trackman) and mixed a swing/miss 66-68 mph CB with two-plane, 11/5 shape. A 67-69 mph SL gave hitters a different look (short lateral) and also showed off a tumbling 70-72 mph split that killed at sub-1000rpms.
6/13/21
Physical: Strong/projectable 6-foot-2, 213lb frame with a power pitcher frame and imposing presence.
Pitching: RHP - Started sideways off the middle/left side of the rubber; immediate side rocker into a leg lift at waist height before driving down the slope with pace and getting over the front side on-time from high-¾. Good/consistent connected actions into foot strike with deception on the arm speed. FB ranged from 82-84 mph with big arm side run (12 inches HM average) mixing a sharp biting 66-68 breaker flashing swing/miss at times with late depth/bite to it. Added in a developing 70-72 mph CH with 1144 average rpms while creating short, consistent fade.
2/07/21
Physical: Strong, well put together 6-foot-1, 187-pound frame with plenty of durability present. 7.56 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, slightly open stance with the hands starting loose and idle above the shoulder. Utilized a deliberate leg kick with ability to hold strong positioning in the stride out towards the mound, the bat head turned through a slightly uphill attack yielding tons of loft in the approach (60% line drive rate). Recorded a noticeable 362 foot peak batted ball distance with occasional home run power to the pull-side, hit into a stiff front side with adjustability in an athletic lower half. Notched an impressive 93 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball and there’s room for more.
Defensively: The outfielder showed moderate momentum towards the target on the approach with obvious feel for the throw tool. Stayed behind the ball and unleashed through a whippy, high ¾ slot with good extension out in front; 86 mph arm strength with carry.
Pitching: RHP - The righty started slightly open to the third base side off of the left side of the rubber; short side rocker into a strong stack position before racing down the mound with intent in the leg drive, drop and drive technique with hip-shoulder present allowing for an 83-84 mph FB. Mixed a 72 mph CB with impressive 2468 spin at the plate creating tight break, countered with a 72 mph CH with a 33% zone rate and up to 9 inches of arm side fade.
