Utilized a deliberate load to the shoulder coupled with a lift and replace stride to initiate a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Contacted the ball at the front of the plate with regularity generating quality feel for the hands and hard contact through the middle of the field during batting practice. Lower half pulled slightly up and out early on occasion creating inefficiencies in the posture, but found the barrel plenty on pitches belt high or higher. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 84 mph according to Trackman Baseball while hitting into a stiff front side.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured adequate receiving skills with a semi-soft glove hand at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.30-2.38 with short and directional straight line footwork out of a moderately low crouch in the setup, quick and medium arm circle from a high ¾ slot.
