The grad transfer from Fordham was strong in relief on Sunday. He worked four innings for the save where he tallied eight strikeouts, scattering two singles, and issuing no walks. Wall showed four pitches, but it was the fastball that overpowered the Canisius hitters. The 90-94 mph offering struck out seven hitters, with his other strikeout coming on a slider. He showed two breaking balls, a curveball at 76-78 mph and a slider at 82-85 mph. The feel and shape of both was a bit inconsistent, but he landed them for strikes. The better of the two was the slider, which he went to a bit more than the curveball. Showed good arm speed on the pitch and had some sweeping shape at times. Also, he showed a 82-85 mph changeup that he was not afraid to use on hitters from either side of the plate. Neither of the secondary offerings were above average pitches, but all of them were usable, with the slider and changeup showing the best future value of the three secondary offerings. In the two runners that reached, Wall displayed the ability to hold runners and was not afraid to pick to try and control the running game. While he does profile as a reliever, his four pitches could give him some extended inning value in a bullpen, with the ability to generate swings and misses with the fastball. Through five relief appearances over 17 innings, the right-hander has struck out 26.
