9/15/13 Trettel is a 6-foot, 170-pound C/3B that has gotten noticeably stronger in the past six months. He showcased solid footwork and a clean exchange with pop times of 2.06-2.12 on throws of 70 mph out of the crouch. The right-handed hitter displayed an 85 mph bat exit velocity and the ability to barrel the baseball consistently to all fields.
8/18/13 Trettel showcased a 1.97 in game pop time in gunning down a runner at Seton Hill University. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect throws of 73 mph out of the crouch and a 90 mph bat exit velocity.
6/12/13 Trettel's first day was cut short when he had to depart a bit early to participate in the state semifinals with his high school team. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed hitter showcased an 87 mph bat exit velocity and a short, line drive swing path at the plate. Defensively Trettel continues to improve, displaying pop times of 2.00-2.12 on throws of 70 mph from the crouch.
2/23/13 Trettel showed improved pop times of 2.06-2.15 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. Trettel showed athletic actions behind the plate and turned in a very quick 4.09 home-to-first time for a catcher. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound backstop turned in a very solid round of batting practice, barreling nearly every pitch and showing the ability to use all fields. Trettel used quick hands and hips to generate an 82 mph bat exit velocity.
1/5/13 Trettel has a solid day in all facets of the game. Defensively he showcased pop times of 2.15-2.23 on throws of 71 mph out of the crouch. Offensively he displayed an 80 mph bat exit speed and a short compact swing that produced consistent line drives to all fields.
