Offensively: RHH - The righty began from a balanced, even stance with noticeable rhythm in the hands above the shoulder. Utilized an on time barrel tip coupled with a short leg lift stride to initiate a twitchy, accurate barrel through a flat path into the hitting zone. Consistently beat the ball to the front of the plate with the hands, gaining leverage to the middle/pull side of the field. Did damage on pitches up in the zone that he matched plane with early. High bat to ball skills and top of the order profile that projects to accrue extra-base hits effectively. Recorded a peak of 86 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary shortstop flashed bounce in his game, with early downhill momentum to the baseball. Beat the ball to the spot with high intent, using the feet to take him to advantage positions to create momentum. Found success with a soft glove hand operating at a low-postured position, funneling inward to the belt-line with a clean exchange. Accurate, high ¾ slot with fluidity (86 mph arm) that should point to above-average defensive abilities moving forward.
