The 5-foot-11, 175-pound uncommitted senior made an outstanding diving, backhand play and showcased his 78 mph arm strength across the diamond in game action. Loucks continued to show some pop during his round of batting practice from a slightly open right-handed stance with a toe tap stride. The two-way prospect has displayed 2.02-2.08 pop times and a top bat exit velocity of 82 mph at previous events.
8/10/14 Loucks is a solidly built 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect that went 2-for-5 with a triple and two RBI during game action at the plate. The right-handed hitter has very quick hands and displayed the ability to drive the baseball to all fields during batting practice from a slightly open stance. Loucks flashed pop times of 2.02-2.14 on throws of 73 mph from the crouch. He has some room to improve his catch and throw skills, but displays good carry and enough arm strength for the position.
6/8/14 Loucks showed well in all facets of the game.
