6/13/21

Physical: Athletic, even proportioned 6-foot, 185lb frame with two-way abilities. 7.47 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH - Tall, open stance from a narrow start; utilized a leg lift stride with gradual pace into footstrike; accurate, flat path towards a high, easy finish allowing for hard contact when on-time at the front of the plate. Notched a 33% line drive rate per Trackman Baseball while peppering the RCF gap with consistency during his batting practice round. Worked his way up to a 91 mph bat-exit velocity and projects to add extra power as he continues holding strength (19 G’s of average rotational acceleration). Featured repeated feel for the barrel and balance in the swing.

Defensively: The first baseman showed above-average defensive skills with range to either side and quality lateral movements. Stayed low with the ability to field out in front of his body and keep the feet moving. Kept direction towards the target with momentum and funneled inward to the chest; accurate ¾ slot with some quickness on the front side (82 mph arm).

Pitching: LHP - Started off the middle of the rubber with a short side rocker, holding pace into the stack at a high/hip coiled position. Good rhythm down the mound landing even with length out towards the plate, releasing from a high ¾, fluid slot. FB ranged from 78-80 mph (big time fade, 17 inches HM average) and mixed a short 68-70 mph breaker (gradual 1/7 shape). Countered with a similarly thrown 71-73 mph CH with good sell on the front side creating deception.

8/18/20

Physical: 6-foot-0, 180 pounds; strong, athletic frame. 7.87 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Wide slightly open stance with bat on shoulder; hands raise as they load back with upper body and a moderate up & down leg kick. Strong lower half, stays behind the ball with has some lift in his swing path. Pull side approach with some power; peak Trackman exit velocity of 89 MPH.
Defensively: Low to the ground setup; laid back approach, clean footwork, smooth transitions. Seamless transfer; short arm swing, standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 78 MPH.
Pitching: Glove side setup, compact windup with high leg kick and slight shoulder turn; fluid, repeatable delivery with an on-line stride and a firm front side. Clean, long arm action into a standard 3/4 arm slot. FB: Peak velo of 79 MPH, while sitting 78-79 MPH. Has a lot of armside movement. CB: 68-69 MPH. Has good curveball rotation & spin axis but has movement of a slider. CH: 70-73 MPH. Gets some fading action with the changeup.
