Physical: 5-foot-11, 180 pounds; strong, athletic frame. 7.27 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced stance with a wide base and hands out in front of his body; small toe tap and stride. explosive with flat bat path to the ball, finishing uphill after point of contact; 10 degree bat angle into the zone via Blast Motion. Weitzel is able to produce 30.8 G’s of force with an on-plane efficiency of 52%.  Hard contact to pull side gap; average Trackman exit velocity of 82 MPH; peak exit velo was 97 MPH.
Defensively: Walks into ready position; active but consistent footwork to field the ball slightly offset and in the middle of his body. smooth hands; medium arm swing with a high 3/4 arm slot.INF - 82 MPH.
Pitching: Sets up in the middle of the rubber, drop steps and brings his hands up to his ear as he gets into his leg lift, comes set at the belt and finishes towards the plate. Short take back with a 3/4 arm slot. FB: T 81MPH, 79-81 MPH. Shows arm side run, controls to the glove side. CB: 69-72 MPH CH: 74 MPH; cuts.


5-foot-11, 180-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and begins with a toe-tap stride. Displayed a short, direct swing path with a feel for the barrel and balance throughout. Registered a bat exit velocity of 91 mph and ran a 6.91 60-yard dash. Plays low to the ground defensively and showed active feet with 82 mph arm strength across the diamond. Also sat 78-80 from a 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm on the mound. Slider at 66-69 showed late, short break and changeup was thrown with solid arm speed at 66-70.


Athletic frame standing 5-foot-11, 180-pounds. Open athletic stance at the plate, toe tap back to stride, hands load low, and stride lands on line. Displayed bat speed and strength in the swing. Level path working gap to gap in approach with some power potential. Finishes the lower half with aggression. 89 mph exit velocity. Defensively was fairly fluid moving side to side for groundballs, more direct in his approach for groundballs right at him, and glove works out front. Short arm path and throws from a low three-quarter arm slot. Positional velocity was 73 mph. Ran a 7.59 60. Worked primarily from the stretch, closed and narrow, and pitches with intent. Drives down the mound with shoulders and hips level, lands on line, and hands break in rhythm. Short whippy arm action from a low three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat 74-76 mph and was around the zone with some occasional arm side run to both sides of the plate. Changeup showed as best secondary pitch for Weitzel. It sat 65-66 mph and was thrown with intent and solid arm side action. Breaking ball was inconsistent 11/5 shape at 65-67 mph.
