2/12/17 Right-handed hitter with solid 5-foot-11, 190-pound build verbally committed to the United States Military Academy shortly after the event. Starts from a square stance and rocks weight to back side with a big knee-to-knee stride to a slightly closed base. Head remains still, keeps weight behind his front side, and is developing some gap power with an exit velocity up to 90 mph. Ran a 7.13 60-yard dash. Soft infield glove hand translates to the outfield. Moves through the catch well and posted 86 mph arm strength out of an over-the-top slot.

2/12/17 5-foot-11, 190-pound two-way prospect sat 79-83 from a high 3/4 arm slot with an up-tempo, balanced delivery. The right-hander also showcased a curveball with tight 11/5 rotation and a changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed at 62-65. The athletic junior announced a commitment to Army within days following the event.
8/19/16 Herrit gave a taste of his ability to affect a roster in a number of ways during the course of the weekend. The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder flashed 90 mph arm strength from the outfield, solid arm strength with athletic actions at third base and the ability to get outs on the mound with a low 80s fastball. The right-handed hitter showcased a gap-to-gap approach offensively with quiet hands and solid lower half action with a bat exit velocity of 83 mph.
2/14/16 Moved well defensively, showed soft hands, and an easy, accurate, 81-mph arm across the diamond. 5-foot-11, 185-pound right-handed hitter. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash and posted 82-mph exit velocity. Hit from a slightly open stance and kept head still throughout swing. Swing is primarily generated from the top half and would benefit from additional rhythm and incorporation of backside.

Good arm with feel for three-pitch mix. Herky-jerky wind-up into drop-and-drive delivery with short, quick arm action out of that same over-the-top slot. FB sat 82-83 with a bit of late armside run. Showed a solid curveball with 12/6 action at 71-73 and a mid-70s change-up with sink and fade.

1/24/16 5-foot-11, 180-pound athletic build. Possible two-way prospect. On the mound the righty was very impressive in his bullpen session. Showed good tempo and was able to repeat his delivery with some effort. Had good direction towards home plate and showed quickness in his arm from a high-¾ slot. Was able to locate his fastball down in the zone at 82-83 mph. Curveball was sharp with some depth with an 11/5 shape at 68-70 mph. Threw a changeup with fastball arm speed at 71-75 mph. At the plate he starts with an open stance that gets to even on the swing. Swings on an even plane through the zone. Registered a top exit velocity of 76 mph. Throws with a high ¾ slot. Shows a good crow-hop from the outfield. Throws with 85 mph strength from the outfield and 81 mph strength from the infield.

Regular effort to his delivery. Fastball showed good run at 76-78 mph. Breaking ball is advanced for his age. Tight, sharp spin and located consistently down in the zone at 69-70 mph. Changeup sold with good arm speed in the low-70s. Performed well from the outfield. Top velocity of 80 mph with clean arm action and exchange. Aggressive to the ball and plays through. At the plate, he starts his hands high and brings to shoulder load. Takes level plane. Limited weight transfer and use of his lower half in his swing. Top exit velocity of 82 mph.
