5-foot-8, 150-pounds, lean build, ran a 7.87 60. Quick to the ball defensively, and gets body behind it, shows an 81 mph arm from the OF, arm swing is quick. Open stance at the plate, toe tap for timing. Hand trigger that times up well with lower half. Longer path, produces power to gaps, 90 mph exit.
NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
Slight 5-foot-8, 150-pound infielder, ran a 7.42/60. Offensively - uses inner knee rotation with some evidence of counter rotation between upper and lower torso, keeps bat on level path through the strike zone for an exit velocity of 80 MPH, developing a more fluid swing will bring realization of potential, tends to bounce at the plate. Defensively - positive and confident, takes direct lines to the ball, gathers body behind ball to create momentum for an accurate arm at 78 MPH.

60: 7.38 OF Velo: 82 MPH
Individual Player Evaluation (June 30, 2016)
Barcia is a slight yet athletic OF that ran a 7.39 60 and a 4.81 home-to-1B. Offensively- Barcia sets up in an even and balanced stance using a up-down stride with a toe tap and later load for timing. Swing path stays short with a late one-hand finish; line drive approach with some lift down the LF line; uses the middle of the field well. Table setter type approach. Defensively- In the outfield Barcia stays behind the ball well; maintaining momentum into the catch. Receives fly balls out in front; quick with transfer; accurate throws that stay on a line. Arm strength at 75 MPH. Fundamental with the correct balance between aggression and staying under control.
