8/19/16 Pennsbury 2018 C/1B showcased advanced arm strength (88 mph infield and 77 mph from the crouch) during showcase evaluations. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder has some length to his throwing motion behind the plate, but showed good carry with a top pop time of 2.07. The right-handed hitter also has some length to his swing but creates above average barrel whip (90 mph bat exit velocity) and shows some present power. Some shortening of his swing and added strength through physical maturity will likely lead to more consistent offensive numbers moving forward.
1/31/16 6-foot, 180-pound right-handed hitter registered the top bat exit velocity of the day at 91 mph. Starts from a square stance and utilizes a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. The sophomore gets to extension routinely and displayed an above average feel for the barrel. Tesarck registered pop times of 2.13-2.20 on throws of 73 mph from the crouch. He receives well and demonstrated advanced blocking abilities during the bullpen phase of the workout. Tesarck also displayed capable footwork and a solid glove around the bag at first base.
