6/20/18 - 6-foot-1, 172-pound right-handed hitter took one of the top rounds of batting practice at the event. He starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. McNelly displayed above average feel for the barrel and gap power with a frame that has room to add another 15 to 20 pounds. He registered a bat exit velocity of 89 mph and ran a 6.93 60-yard dash. McNelly blistered a single to center field in his second at bat in game play and showed the athleticism to be able to play multiple infield positions at the next level. His 82 mph arm strength will play on the left side of the infield at the next level and his foot speed would allow for a move to the outfield as well.
1/13/18 - 6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a short, lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a solid hip turn and an ability to create back spin with an 84 mph bat exit velocity. Ran a 6.85 60-yard dash and showcased 81 mph arm strength across the diamond with an over-the-top arm slot throwing motion. Plays through the baseball routinely and showed enough athleticism and projectable frame to play a number of defensive positions moving forward.
